Even though losing weight is a fab natural way to manage arthritis by dramatically reducing mechanical joint pressure and systemic inflammation, it can be easier said than done for an arthritis sufferer to be active and exercise, I know when mine flares up it is a struggle to manage the stairs!

I’ve long supported Arthritis UK’s campaigns in Parliament so it was great to catch up with them again this week. This time we discussed the issues faced by people living with arthritis who may be struggling to secure NHS operations due to their weight. More 👇🏼

I've reached out to Openreach about the rollout of full fibre broadband to the rest of the city, and I am also in touch with Durham County Council and Cornerstone, a digital infrastructure company, to look at potential solutions. Hopefully there will be some good news for in the near future. 🫶🏼

I've been contacted by Durham BID and a number of properties in the city to highlight the poor connectivity and wifi in the city centre, which is having a real impact on businesses in Durham. More 👇🏼

Ps - yes those are teeth in that box, the amount of extractions per month across the country is outrageous, I’ll be in touch with the new Health Secretary to ensure the momentum to improve NHS Dentistry for all continues.

I have a strong interest in how the NHS 10 Year Plan aims to tackle obesity, and I'm sure the expertise of organisations like the BDA will help to shape those discussions.
