100 cross-party MPs have joined me in writing to the Government, calling for the UK to urgently reopen and scale up medical evacuations for critically ill children in Gaza. We cannot ignore the scale of suffering. Our country has the moral responsibility to help.

Tomorrow is the biggest day of the year for us backbenchers in Parliament - it's the Private Members' Bill ballot. If you had the opportunity to propose a new law, what would it be? Let me know in the comments or pop me an email via Simon.Opher.MP@parliament.uk

It’s really good news that inflation has dropped back to 2.8% However, the war continues to destabilise the world economy. While I understand the government’s decision to loosen sanctions on Russian oil to try and help mitigate this, it is morally the wrong decision. We should stand by Ukraine.

Andy is right. Privatisation is a failed experiment. Billions have been divvied out to shareholders, while services get worse and bill payers are asked to pay the price for the failure of CEOs. We need to put our utilities back into public hands so they are run in the interests of people.
