Great to visit Rosetta Arts Centre on Thursday to help launch their two-year journey at as a Mayor of London funded Loved & Wanted community space, alongside Debbie Weekes-Bernard, Deputy Mayor of London for Communities. A wonderful night of art, crafts and music with local community.

I was lucky to be invited to watch Gallions Primary School perform Macbeth. Their performance was really impressive as were the other Newham schools taking part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival Well done to all the students and staff involved!

I hosted an event in Parliament celebrating Bulgaria’s national day of enlightenment, culture and the Bulgarian alphabet. It was great to learn more about the history Bulgarian script and hear from English students studying Bulgarian at UCL.

It was great to meet trustees, volunteers and organisations at the opening of the new Newham Community Law Project. This has been a long time coming and I know for my constituents that having specialist support based in our community will make a huge difference.

I recently sat on the judging panel of the Newham final of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge. I listened to fourteen incredible speeches delivered by students from across the borough. I wish our winner all the best for the grand final - do it for Newham!
